Highway 57 Project - Forecast for the week of Sept 29, 2025

The crew is continuing the gravity sewer line installation this week, working Northward from Northern Lights and the Fire Station.  We made it through the rock area and are finally getting to the area where the pipeline is much shallower so progress is improving.

Completion of the project clear up to Millies is very unlikely this fall.  Idaho Dept of Transportation will not allow digging in the right of way once snow begins to fall which as we all know can occur any time now.

Our plan is to complete the pipeline and manholes up to the point where Lamb Creek crosses under Highway 57.  Cleanup, paving, and approach restoration will occur within the next few weeks as well as hydroseeding.

We are still waiting for some plumbing parts to arrive (due mid-October) which will allow us to close up the pressure line near outlet and connect the new line into Lift Station #5 along the woodrat road (FS 1048).  All of this will be completed this season.

We will pick up where we leave off next spring once conditions allow.  Progress should be much more rapid due to a shallower dig and the experience gained thus far.

We will continue to alert homes and businesses along the excavation path when work is imminent and will keep any disruptions a short as possible.
